Booths, other than food & artist booths, shall be staffed:
Saturday – 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Sunday – 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Optional: Friday – 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM

PARKING:  Parking is available at Lighthouse Park.  You must display your enclosed parking pass on your windshield or from your rear-view mirror.  You will not be admitted into the park without it.  If you have additional people needing to get to Lighthouse Park to staff your booth have them use our free shuttle bus transportation.  Shuttle bus information is enclosed.

SET-UP:  Set-up is Friday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM Saturday, between 7:00 and 10:00 AM.  Enter Lighthouse park off of Front St, and you will be directed to your booth location.  Your canopy must fit within your 10’ x 10’ space.   Booths cannot be staked into the ground, they must be weighted.  Lighthouse Park tends to have a wind blowing up from the water so it is important to weight the legs of your canopy.  MLFA assumes no liability.

SECURITY: Security is provided during the Festival.  It is your choice whether or not to leave belongings in your booth overnight.  Again, MLFA assumes no responsibility.

CHECK OUT:  You may begin tearing down your booth at 5:30 PM Sunday.  No early breakdown is permitted.  Please dismantle your booth and pack BEFORE you move your vehicle in place.

Come join us for the  Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival Tennis Tournament. Whether you regularly compete in club or other USTA sponsored  tournaments or  this is your first tournament, come seize the opportunity to test your game against great competition as well as network with other players in the Mukilteo area.

To ensure competitive matches, The events have been divided into an “A”, “B”, and “C” category. The “A” division is for advanced players, reserved for those players with a NTRP rating of 4.0 or above, “B” for intermediate players with a rating of 3.5 and 4.0, and the “C” division the tournament rookie.  There will also be “A” and “B” level doubles and a Mixed Doubles division.

All participants are to report to their tournament site on the designated play date 15 minutes before the start time of each match — RAIN or SHINE.
For match time and location call the Tournament Director  at 425-530-2290 on or after the draw date listed above or stop by the Kamiak H.S. tennis courts where the draw will be posted on Wed. evening, August 24th.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

Match Play shall be the best 2 of 3 sets.  At 6-6, a 12-point tie breaker will be used. A super tie breaker system will be adopted to decide the 3rd Set. Warm-up time will be limited to ten minutes. Default Time shall be ten minutes from the time of the scheduled match at discretion of Tournament Director .

Tennis Balls.  Each player/team provides a new can of USTA approved tennis balls. Winner takes new can, loser takes used can.

Come run or walk scenic Mukilteo.  Join us in our annual 10k run and 5k walk/run on Saturday, August 25, 2012. Starting from the new Rosehill Community Center in Old Town, you will experience a gently sloped course on quiet roads with great views of Puget Sound.  In 2011 over 300 people joined us to race through Mukilteo! Families and children are welcome.

Preregistration recommended. (You may register at 6:45 am Saturday morning on the plaza at Rosehill CC. Pay in person the day of the event by cash or check. Make checks payable to MLFA.)

There will be a pick up area for pre-registration packets the morning of the race.

Family of 2- $40, Family of 3- $60. Each additional child is $15
Cost is through 8/15. After 8/15 add $5 per person.

This year’s Festival and Parade theme is “Celebrate By The Bay!”. To enhance the parade, we encourage you to incorporate this theme into your entry.

Parade Times:
Grand Parade Check in (Harbour Reach Drive, Mukilteo)  8:30 a.m.
Latest Check-in for Children’s Parade 9:30 a.m.
Start of Children’s Parade 10:30 a.m.
Start of Grand Parade 11:00 a.m.

Parade Route
Both parades start at the corner of Chennault Beach Road and Harbour Pointe Boulevard
Children’s Parade ends at Columbia Elementary parking lot (approx. ½ mile)
Grand Parade ends at the corner of 47th Place W and Harbour Pointe Boulevard (3/4 mile)
Parade Movement:
STOPPING the FORWARD PROGRESS of the Parade is not permitted.
Failure to comply may result in expulsion from the Parade. Keeping the Parade moving is important
due to the number of entries & ages of the children marching.
Fire Extinguisher Mandatory. All motorized (truck, car, tractor) entries are required to carry a fire extinguisher. You will not be judged or permitted to be in the Parade if you do not have a fire extinguisher as required.
Safety:
For SAFETY reasons, the following are PROHIBITED:
No toss outs from units. (Handouts ok, but from designated individuals at curbside only)

People can enjoy this popular fireworks show from multiple vantage points in Mukilteo and Whidbey Island, but most visitors to the Lighthouse Festival make the fireworks the grand finale of a full day on the beautiful Mukilteo waterfront.  Enjoy fabulous food, art, entertainment and fireworks in one of the most scenic locations in the Northwest!
